In Other News….

A robot heckled Bill Clinton today in Iowa! It wanted Clinton to apologize to Sister Souljah…Sister Souljah from the old Public Enemy days? What did Bill Clinton do to her? It is too bad they didn’t tase the mechanical man, that would have been an incredible new internet thingy - doncha’ think? Bill Clinton proved that he can handle a robot attack with no problem - dissing our electronic friend as he was escorted out of the building.

We Are The Robots

Kraftwerk x Lost In Space mash-up awesomeness. In case you are unaware, Kraftwerk inspired the Zulu Nation’s Afrika Bambaataa to create Planet Rock.

Giant Cardboard Robots

cardboard robots

These cardboard robots from design team Gagatree are not only packed with retro cool, they also provide valuable services to their owners. In addition to holding CD’s, these guys also have a space for a toilet paper roll. Keep an eye out for bumperstickers stating, “My kid’s butt gets wiped by a robot” to put all those parents of honor rollers on full blast soon. Gagatree link via ToysrREvil

Monkey Vs. Robot

James Kochalka’s Monkey Vs. Robot is one of my favorite battles between a simian and a cyborg. There are many imitators out there, but none get it quite as right as him. Also Andy Samberg stars as the monkey.

Take That Aibo

This is the ‘Little Dog’, a robot built by DARPA and Carnegie Mellon Boston Dynamics. So lifelike it’s scary. As soon as they hook it up with laser beam eyes and titanium choppers, all of us useless eaters are in big trouble.
