I started gathering it back in the 80's while Alex was still leading the Art Department at Chicago's First Publishing (NEXUS, GRIMJACK, BADGER...). The first time I saw Wald he was critiquing a freshly painted, still wet and volatile painting that Steve Rude had just shipped to the offices for Nexus. Brilliant, eye he has...well, both Rude and Wald. Also, Mr.Wald has quite a collection of rare Japanese toys and posters. He's a true archivist. Thanks you for posting his work!
